Capitol Hill in Oklahoma City is situated south of the downtown district of OKC , extending to the bank of the Oklahoma River. Since 1997, the Capitol Hill Main Street organization has spearheaded projects to promote economic development and historical preservation of the city.Restaurants in Capitol Hill offer Mexican, Chinese, and American foods. Bertha?s Mexican Restaurant, Aguascalientes Mexican Restaurant, La Costa, and Super Tortas El Chavo offer dishes from south of the border. Chinese food is on the menu at the Buffet King. For a bit of home cooking try Maxburger, Colt?s Root Beer Drive In, and Coney Island for hamburgers, hot dogs, with fries and rings, plus soft drinks and milk shakes. Rhinestone Cowboy has live music, dance floor, and a bar with great mixers, longnecks, and drafts. Bars for a more sedate nightlife include the Snug Lounge, Ww Lounge, and Champs Sports Bar.
