This beginner-friendly workshop will teach you the basics of modern calligraphy & how to decorate your own calligraphy wrapping paper.
Event Details
This workshop was created with beginners in mind. No prior lettering or calligraphy experience is necessary.
In this workshop you'll receive 3 hours of personal, hands-on instruction that will teach you the basics of modern calligraphy and how to apply those skills to decorate your own wrapping paper.
You'll learn how to:
Properly hold and use a brush pen
Create basic calligraphy strokes
Use those strokes to form letters
Connect letters to create words and phrases
Add personal style
Use guidelines for consistency
Apply calligraphy to a real-life project
You will also receive a take-home supply kit that includes:
A guided workbook
A variety of calligraphy pens
Tracing paper
Wrapping paper
A personalized name card
Light refreshments will also be provided.
To allow for personal instruction, one-on-one guidance, and plenty of working space, seats are limit.
Due to the personalized nature of this workshop, there are no refunds. However, you can transfer your ticket to a future event or another person. Transfers may incur a fee of $15 to cover venue rental costs if your seat cannot be filled. Please contact Hilligraphy Ink to arrange.
